Anyone visiting Banff National Park will certainly want to visit Lake Louise. So it makes sense to pay a visit to the beautiful Moraine Lake and hike along the shore on the Moraine Lakeshore Trail. Moraine Lake is a lake at an altitude of around 1800 m, which is fed by various glaciers.

The actual trail leads a little away from the shore and the view of the trees is sometimes somewhat obscured. At the end, a large inflow of glacier water into the lake awaits you (at least it was quite large at the beginning of June). You also have the option of walking along the shore.
